About the Role: Customer Service Agent - Remote/Hybrid
We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a full-time Customer Service Agent. Reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience, you'll be the frontline ambassador for Grainger, providing top-notch service to our customers via inbound phone calls. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, addressing their needs, and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with customers and Sales team members daily in a team-based environment to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Utilize multiple computer programs to manage customer interactions, including account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues, such as pricing and invoicing discrepancies, by applying credits and implementing return procedures.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, using a computer for extended periods, and demonstrate proficiency in navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to commute to our facility in Waterloo, IA, for the initial 8-week onsite training academy.
- A dedicated, secure workspace at home for remote work, equipped with a reliable computer and internet connection.
- Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously.
- Stable internet connection with speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other customer service tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Compensation and Perks:
