About the Role

As a Data Scientist at Aetna, you'll be an integral part of our AIOps team, working on cutting-edge projects that involve developing and implementing AI and Machine Learning solutions to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of CVS Health's IT operations. You'll collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy models that predict and analyze data on hardware and software systems, preventing outages and pinpointing errors. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy AI and ML models using technologies like Python, R, and SQL to analyze and predict hardware and software system data.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to integrate bought solutions and implement systems into production, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document AI/ML solutions, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Support processes related to the execution of systems into production, including integration and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, create data visualizations, and inform business decisions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and data science, applying this knowledge to improve our solutions.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML with domain knowledge and hands-on experience in data-driven statistical modeling, discriminative techniques, feature extraction, and supervised learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in data extraction, wrangling, visualization, and analysis, with a strong understanding of data pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience working with large data sets across different sources and big data platforms like GCP or AWS.
  • Background in developing scalable AI/ML models and solutions that can be applied across various business contexts.
