Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at Sycamore Life Sciences, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the best possible service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead generation, follow-up, and sales goals
  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, or online chat, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing orders, handling complaints, and managing shipments, cancellations, and other customer queries
  • Maintaining strict customer standards and confidentiality
  • Working closely with customers to understand their needs, creating solutions, and ensuring a smooth sales process
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure ordered products are in stock, lead times are acceptable, and tracking information is provided promptly
  • Keeping accurate records of customer interactions, contacts, and account updates in our Hubspot CRM system
  • Conducting cost-benefit and needs analysis to meet customer requirements
  • Working hand-in-hand with the sales team to create and review quotes, ensuring products meet customer needs and company margin expectations
  • Preparing and submitting weekly sales reports to management

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline
  • Experience in Genomics Research, Cell Biology Research, Proteomics, or Analytical Chemistry (a significant advantage)
  • At least 2 years of experience in eCommerce, call center, or technical support (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in a professional working environment
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage your time effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

We're offering two positions: Customer Service Representative I ($12/hour) and Customer Service Representative II ($14/hour). The pay range for this role is $22-$24 per hour.
