The Role of a Behavior Technician

As a Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for providing instruction and implementing behavior intervention plans within the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your primary focus will be working with children with Autism and other developmental or cognitive disabilities. You will work primarily in clients' homes, the community, and possibly in-clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA programs and behavior intervention plans
  • Collect data on programs and provide insights for future improvements
  • Assist with parent training and clinical assessments as needed
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and team members
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid California Driver's License and reliable mode of transportation
  • Ability and willingness to drive/travel to different locations to conduct sessions
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal background check
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
  • RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
  • $0.62/mile reimbursement for drive time
