About the Role

As an Associate Data Scientist in our Pricing and Revenue Management (PRM) division, you'll be part of a dynamic team that leverages operations research, statistical modeling, machine learning, and data engineering to drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced quantitative models using operations research, statistical, and machine learning techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Utilize data engineering and programming skills to clean, process, and pipeline data for model execution and deployment.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to understand business problems, develop solutions, and implement automated processes.
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, and provide recommendations for business improvement.
  • Work primarily in Python, SQL, or other programming languages to develop and maintain models, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Develop hypotheses, test, and interpret results to drive business decisions.
  • Mentor and collaborate with colleagues to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain code standards, participate in code reviews, and document workflows, models, and code.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior professional experience with SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling.
  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

  • A graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in airline pricing, yield or revenue management, revenue analytics, or a related role.
