Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of enterprise data storage environments and technologies.
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software to optimize data storage performance.
- Develop and implement trending storage plan strategies based on industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application, database, server, and other technology groups, to ensure alignment on architecture and configuration selection.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and non-routine tasks.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance on complex activities, such as installation, configuration, and backup/recovery operations.
- Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the health and security of storage systems.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field, with a focus on networking and storage protocols.
- Industry knowledge and experience in large-scale SAN design and implementation.
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with proficiency in DellEMC, Cisco, and comparable OEMs.
- A strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies.
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3).
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS.
- Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows).
- VMWare concepts and administration.
