About the Role
The Waukee records center is an Apple-Owned, dealer Operated facility made up of various departments, including centers, website online services, and Logistics. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will be working closely with the Apple EHS Lead to ensure site operations, protection, and production activities are accomplished according to supplier, Apple, federal, state, and other applicable policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and organize data to support Apple's EHS operations
- Collaborate with local and broader site teams, company EHS training crew, and the records center education crew to ensure training is developed and deployed according to rules and mission wishes
- Assist in job risk analysis, identifying controls, and approving work allows
- Oversee on-site Contractors and vendors
- Participate in incident investigations, developing corrective movements, and driving actions to closure
- Engage in EHS audits and tests
- Support chemical and hazardous materials management
- Comply with record-keeping and reporting requirements for air, water, and waste permits
- Perform industrial hygiene exams
- Support corporate EHS initiatives to enhance control systems, standards development, and technology systems
Essential Qualifications
- Minimal 3-5 years vast-based EHS experience, with a specific emphasis in construction, contractor management, and data center preservation and operations sports
- Running expertise of facilities management, engineering, construction, environmental control, physical safety (i.e., working at height, power isolation, medium voltage, confined area, PPE), fire/life safety, and industrial hygiene
- Extraordinary company, project management, data analytics, and problem-solving talents
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communications abilities with the capability to persuade without authority
- Potential to learn and make use of software solutions for data management, online file collaboration, and digital conferences
- Capacity to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Capacity to respond rapidly with clear and accurate input to a variety of stakeholders
- Solid knowledge of applicable consensus standards and federal, state, and local requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- BA or BS in a relevant EHS field
- Relevant technical certifications, CSP or CIH preferred
- Capacity to support after-hours emergency response
