- Recommending items for sale to clients and suggesting upsell as well as companion items
- Maintaining counters and retiring areas clean and well-merchandised, taking inventory, and keeping records
- Carrying out organization resource protection methods to identify and minimize profit loss
- Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled items
- Developing and maintaining displays, including special, seasonal, super designs, and sale stock
- Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as determined by policies/procedures
- Providing client assistance in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, banner print, and creative machine
- Taking on web pick obligations, including screening orders, picking items, and delivering orders to clients
- Maintaining a clean, neat, and deliberate store condition and appearance
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
- Basic math skills, including the ability to count money and operate a cash register
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be considered an asset:
- At least six months of experience in a retail environment
- Previous work experience with Walgreens
- Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages
- Experience with store systems and equipment
- Knowledge of photography and photo printing services
