Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative - Chat Agent at Costco's U.S. Member Services Center, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences to our members. Working from our office in Oklahoma, you will be responsible for responding to a high volume of incoming calls and chats from members, providing information about Costco.com, resolving online issues, and offering solutions to complex problems. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to a high volume of incoming calls and chats from Costco members, providing information about Costco.com, resolving online issues, and offering solutions to complex problems.
  • Determine member needs and provide proper solutions, including answering general questions about Costco.com and items, and investigating complex issues related to online orders, tracking, and deliveries.
  • Consider and offer compensations as needed, working as the contact between Costco.com clients, merchants, purchasing, and operations staff.
  • Utilize various computer programs simultaneously on multiple screens while on the phone or responding to chats, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions are friendly, efficient, and professional.

Essential Qualifications

Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree required; high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Internet Business Customer Service Specialist Certificate after completion of a 14-day instructional class.

Experience and Skills

  • Past customer care experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficient business writing and typing (minimum 30 wpm).
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and split days off.
