American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) is seeking a creative, expert, and detail-oriented Client General Manager to support some of our most important Entertainment Clients in the Production, News, Sports, Music, and Theatricals business.

Job Summary

The Client General Manager will act as the primary point of contact for our clients' strategic needs, focusing on identifying and delivering new opportunities, driving client and traveler satisfaction, creating strategic solutions, and promoting GBT's capabilities specific to entertainment clients. This is a remote opportunity, based in the US or Canada, with East Coast hours and 25-30% travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Possess an in-depth understanding of clients' strategic objectives, key drivers of success, organizational culture, and business objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Provide guidance to customers in the assessment of goals and strategies to optimize performance across their program.
  • Innovative Solutions: Identify unique travel needs that exist for news, sports, film, or TV production, and develop innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Partnership Building: Establish partnerships with key business constituents, including Global Business Consulting, Client Services, Service Delivery, and Implementations.
  • Business Development: Build a web of influence at key levels within the account and among affiliate studios working with clients on specific productions.
  • Market Research: Research the marketplace and competitor products and services to highlight the value that distinguishes AEGBT products.
  • Account Planning: Complete strategic account plans, focused on identifying ground-breaking business opportunities that enhance and optimize the customer experience.
  • Customer Value: Create customer value, exceed customer expectations, strengthen client relationships, drive savings, increase retention, and optimize performance through process and data analysis.
  • Value Proposition: Lead the improvement of the American Express Global Business Travel value proposition through consultation, technology road mapping, and optimizing online servicing solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: Proven success and demonstrable positive results in global account/client management, and/or project management experience.
  • Media and Entertainment Knowledge: Experience/knowledge of Media and Entertainment Travel.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Proven success in upselling products, services, and solutions, increasing client revenue and profitability.
  • Growth Strategies: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement growth strategies, build action plans, and set goals.
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Proven innovative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills required, in addition to prioritization and planning skills.
  • Communication and Presentation: Sophisticated range of communication and presentation skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen required to leverage the key drivers of profitability.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen required to communicate the Amex Global Business Travel value proposition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Large Market/Multinational Client Experience: Previous large market/multinational client/global experience preferred.
  • Travel Operations Knowledge: Travel Operations knowledge required.
  • Business Travel Service Delivery and Client Management: Demonstrated knowledge of Business Travel Service Delivery and Client Management.
  • Advanced Software Skills: Advanced software skills (MS Office) required.
