As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

About the Role

As an ABA Behavior Therapist / Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children on the autism spectrum. You will work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy, collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, and conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support, and treatment plans. Your goal will be to help children and families reach their full potential, and you will be supported every step of the way by our experienced team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting
  • 1-year ABA Experience, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
