Key Responsibilities

As an Elementary School Music Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality music lessons to our elementary school students. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lesson Planning: Developing and implementing engaging music lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities
  • Teaching: Delivering music lessons to elementary school students, using a range of teaching methods and materials to promote student learning and engagement
  • Assessment: Assessing student progress and understanding, using a range of assessment strategies and tools to inform teaching and learning

Qualifications and Expectations

  • BA/BS from an Accredited College or University: A degree in music or a related field, with a valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in music or a related area
  • Valid Colorado Teaching License: Endorsed in music or a related area, with passing exam scores on the PRAXIS II exam (if required)
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching music to elementary school students, with a proven track record of success in promoting student learning and engagement
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
