Job Summary

As a Part-Time Lobby Porter, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring a smooth and efficient arrival and departure process, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort guests to rooms, providing a warm and welcoming experience
  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, as well as local areas of interest and activities
  • Identify and explain room features to guests, including the use of room keys, mini-bars, ice and vending areas, in-room safes, and valet laundry services
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell areas, assisting with luggage storage and retrieval as needed
  • Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including helping with loading/unloading luggage
  • Supply guests with directions and arrange transportation (e.g., taxicab, shuttle bus, limousine/sedan service) as needed
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • No related work experience necessary, but previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing over 75 pounds with assistance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service
  • Knowledge of local areas of interest and activities
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
