Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Care Advocate Customer Experience Specialist to join our remote team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for connecting individuals with the support they need to thrive. You'll work closely with a collaborative team of people who share your passion for improving lives and believe in the greater good.

About the Role

This is a part-time, phone-based position that requires a strong customer service background, excellent communication and listening skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. As a Care Advocate Customer Experience Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support, and you'll play a critical role in connecting them with the resources they need to live the lives they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively reach out to individuals via phone to offer help and support according to program requirements.
  • Work closely with a collaborative team of people who want to change the world.
  • Be a key contributor to improving the lives of millions of people by connecting them with the support they need to thrive.
  • Utilize various tech tools to enhance your work and make a meaningful impact.
  • Facilitate and navigate tough or emotional conversations with empathy and compassion.
  • Build relationships and trust through conversations, and provide outstanding customer service over the phone and via email.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 1-year of outbound customer experience in a call center, claims, benefits, fundraising, or healthcare scheduling practices.
  • Passion for mental health and emotional wellbeing, behavioral health, community outreach, resources, healthcare, or active volunteerism.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening, especially over the phone.
  • Demonstrated excellence in providing outstanding customer service over the phone and via email.
  • Motivation to help others and alignment with our organizational mission and vision.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively take ownership of key tasks.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change, and able to adapt to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College graduate or associate's degree in a customer-related field.
  • Experience working in a high call volume environment and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and trust through conversations, and provide outstanding customer service over the phone and via email.
  • Experience with various tech tools and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 2:45pm - 6:45pm CST.
