Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead mid to large-size security and technology projects, overseeing multiple disciplines and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to develop, review, and implement designs for security, audiovisual, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, design calculations, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections, programming sessions, and commissioning to ensure projects meet technical and client requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff, provide guidance on technical processes, and contribute to internal training programs.
  • Develop business opportunities, maintain client relationships, and support fee development and project proposals.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and decisions while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience; EIT, CDT, PSP, and/or CPP certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in physical and electronic security system design for facilities construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite.
  • Strong project management, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Experience leading teams, delegating work, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage clients and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities, demonstrating problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional intelligence.
  • Knowledge of technology systems in mission-critical, healthcare, workplace, transportation, higher education, government, industrial, or cultural sectors.
