The Collins Aerospace Avionics Tools organization is seeking an entry level Software Engineer candidate with a passion for problem solving to work on the AFDX Filter Driver Test Suite through the Summer Engineering Project Program. This position is performed with minimal supervision and requires a candidate with a strong customer focus, highly-effective communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and advance multiple objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Designing, developing and testing software products
Helping to solve complex software and systems problems
Perform software debugging using appropriate techniques and tools
Perform in cross-functional team efforts to integrate, verify, and validate products
Implementing software tools to enable better delivery, consumption, and sustainment of engineering processes
Effectively interact and build trust with team members from many different backgrounds, including engineering management, engineering teams, program management, and operations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
