About the Role: Staff Devops Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Staff Devops Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering team, focusing on building engineering solutions, tools, frameworks, and automation in performance, efficiency, and reliability domains. This is a newly created function within our Contact Center Transformation group, aimed at enabling application teams to deliver enterprise-wide products that are highly performant, efficient, and reliable. As a Staff Devops Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving success, leveraging your strong and diverse skillset to address complex problems in a multi-cloud model, including On-prem, Azure, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with application teams to understand their pain points around performance, efficiency, and reliability, formulating strategies to address recurring issues in a sustainable way.
  • Influence and build vision with application owners to ship quality products at a faster pace, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and availability.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of team strategy and execution, driving the team towards building solutions that align with long-term goals while efficiently solving high-priority tech debts.
  • Be a strong advocate for open-source technologies and solutions, leveraging your technical expertise to build highly available systems and drive the adoption of best practices across teams.
  • Share knowledge and improve processes within and across teams, consistently demonstrating thought leadership in Site Reliability Engineering, Operational Excellence, and DevOps principles.

Essential Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps principles, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture, performance benchmarking, capacity planning, and reliability tools.
  • Fluency in at least one modern language, such as Python, Java, or Go, with experience in open-source software being a significant plus.
  • Experience managing infrastructure components through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), container runtimes, and OS (Operating System) optimization.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, release orchestration, and build tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or ADO.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with a curious and willingness to work on applied AI solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of coding experience, with a focus on developing tooling and engineering solutions in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supervising personnel in a technical environment, with a proven track record of managing and growing technical leaders and teams.
  • Experience working with public clouds, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service, with a deep understanding of multi-cloud models and their applications.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
