As a vital member of the 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Center and the 988 Provider Network, you will provide critical support to individuals in mental health crises, making a tangible difference in their lives.

The DASH Crisis Center is a cornerstone of this mission, offering immediate assistance and guidance to those in need. As a Remote Hotline Social Worker, you will be an integral part of this team, working remotely to provide crisis de-escalation, assessment, and warm line support to individuals in Suffolk County.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming crisis hotline calls, conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments, and de-escalation techniques to support adults, adolescents, and children with a range of DSM diagnoses.
- Engage with collaterals, including family members and outside providers, to effectively address and manage individual needs during crisis situations.
- Participate in regular virtual or telephone conferencing with on-site supervisors to ensure seamless support and guidance.
- Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with regulations, utilizing an electronic medical record system.
- Conduct follow-up calls to clients and providers to ensure stabilization and linkage following crisis episodes.
- Assess situations to determine importance, urgency, and risks, making timely and informed decisions that prioritize the organization's best interests.
- Set priorities, develop work schedules, and monitor progress towards goals, tracking details, data, information, and activities.
- Utilize multiple software programs to facilitate productivity monitoring and regular communication with on-site supervisors.
- Maintain proficiency in de-escalation techniques through ongoing training and development.
- Adhere to Family Service League's remote work policy, ensuring a HIPAA-compliant workspace.
- Participate in initial on-site training and periodic required on-site shifts for training and supervision.
Essential Qualifications
To excel as a Remote Hotline Social Worker with Family Service League, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a relevant field.
- Relevant clinical licensure, such as LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, Limited Permit, or equivalent.
- A minimum of six months' experience in a behavioral health setting, with clinical experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, with experience in an Electronic Health Record system desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships, fostering teamwork and cooperation to achieve organizational goals.
- Daytime and weekend availability to support the 24/7 Crisis Hotline.
Preferred Qualifications

- Fluency in Spanish, enabling you to support a broader range of clients.
