Job Summary and Responsibilities
The 2024 Saturday Teaching Aide will assist instructors with all aspects of instruction and supervision during the Saturday programming, which runs for 8 weeks each quarter. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Facilitating small group conversations with students and participating in classroom activities, evaluations, and attendance taking
- Documenting student work and performing experiments or classroom demonstrations as needed
- Escorting students between campus locations during class changes and monitoring student safety
- Assisting course instructors with daily set up and break down of classrooms and supplies
- Recording hours bi-monthly in Workday and performing other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Be at least 15 years of age at the start of the program
- Be able to attend all class sessions and trainings/orientations
- Have equivalent education/experience that substitutes for all minimum qualifications, except when there are legal requirements such as a license/certification/registration
Desired Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with youth in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support instructors with diverse teaching styles
- Familiarity with the University of Washington's policies and procedures

Work Schedule and Location
