About the Role

We are seeking a talented and compassionate Pre-K Teacher to join our team in Seminole, FL. As a Teacher I, you will serve as the lead worker in the classroom, planning and implementing educational activities for pre-school aged children or infants/toddlers in the Head Start/Early Head Start Program. Key Responsibilities

As a Pre-K Teacher with LSF, your primary responsibilities will include: * Planning, developing, and implementing daily lesson plans that provide for educational and enrichment activities for pre-school age children or infants and toddlers * Creating a well-organized classroom environment that promotes effective learning and play * Screening and assessing children to determine developmental/educational needs and developing and implementing individual education plans * Monitoring meal and snack periods, classroom and restroom activities, and playground activities to ensure a safe environment for young children * Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and completing required manual and computerized forms and reports * Communicating with parents through parent conferences, written correspondence, and telephone to apprise them of child's progress, upcoming events, classroom activities, individual education plan changes, and other relevant information * Conducting health checks on children for health concerns and reporting to the Health Coordinator * Ensuring lessons and classroom activities align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards * Conducting Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten assessments as required * Maintaining a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess: * An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field * Two years of experience teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school, or kindergarten age children * Bilingual skills in English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area are preferred * Working knowledge of brain development and its impact on early learning * Understanding of child development from birth to age five for typical and atypical children * Familiarity with culture and practices for early childhood education * Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood education * Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others * Excellent verbal communication skills with infants, toddlers, and pre-school age children * Conflict resolution skills * Ability to prepare and maintain work-related reports and files * Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information

Preferred Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a candidate who possesses: * Strong leadership and organizational skills * Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment * Ability to lift children and move around the classroom and playground * Basic first aid and CPR certification
