Family Home Care Group is a Medicare certified, Joint Commission accredited organization providing skilled and non-skilled home-health care to Central Florida communities. REGISTERED NURSE (RN), QUALITY ASSURANCE/CODING. Responsibilities: • Conduct regular clinical chart audits to ensure compliance with home health care standards, regulations, and best practices. • Monitor quality of care provided by nursing and other healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. • Support staff training and development, ensuring that clinical staff are up-to-date with current health care practices and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with clinical managers and leadership to develop strategies for improving patient outcomes, reducing hospital readmissions, and enhancing overall care quality. • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards such as CMS, JCAHO, and others. • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of quality assurance activities, audits, and performance metrics. Requirements • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Minimum of 3 Experience in Nursing of experience in home health care or a similar setting. • Experience with quality assurance, audit processes, or performance improvement in a healthcare setting preferred. • Ability/experience in home health coding and plan of care generation. • Knowledge of home health care regulations, including federal and state laws, and accreditation requirements. • Strong clinical assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate complex care needs and identify areas for improvement. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical documentation systems. • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on clinical judgment and regulatory standards. • Quality Improvement or Home Health preferred.
