About the Role: Vice President, Product Research & Insights
We're seeking an exceptional Vice President, Product Research & Insights to lead our Research & Insights (R&I) team in delivering data-driven insights that shape the future of Salesforce's highest priority technical products, including Agentforce, AI, and Platform. As a strategic partner to product management, engineering, User Experience (UX), and go-to-market teams, you'll play a critical role in creating experiences that delight our customers and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and Lead the Research Agenda: Develop and execute the research and insights agenda for our most critical products, ensuring the delivery of high-impact insights that inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Executives: Partner with General Managers (GMs) and cross-functional executives to deliver insights that drive the end-to-end product life cycle, from concept to launch.
- Drive Insight Impact: Ensure that insights are integrated throughout the Technology & Product organization and Salesforce at large, driving business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Manage, mentor, and grow a globally distributed research team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Manage Business Operations: Oversee the team's business operations, including budget management and resource procurement, to ensure efficient and effective research practices.
- Foster a Data-Driven Culture: Promote an insight-informed and data-driven culture across the company, driving business decisions with research-backed insights.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in delivering insight work with measurable business outcomes, preferably in the CRM, enterprise business software, or analogous industries.
- Research Expertise: Strong background in research craft and its execution in a business environment, with a deep understanding of research methodologies and techniques.
- Collaboration and Agility: Excellent cross-disciplinary collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational issues and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership and Management: Strong leadership and management expertise, with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Executive-Level Presentation Skills: Ability to present complex research findings and insights to executive-level stakeholders in both business and technical contexts.
- Education: University degree in a research or business-focused field, such as Psychology, Anthropology, HCI, Business, Research Methodology, Experimental Design, or Design Research.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience leading research in product development, user experience, or technology contexts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Experience in CRM, enterprise business software, or analogous industries, with a deep understanding of the business and technical landscapes.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with technical products and platforms, including AI, data analytics, and cloud-based technologies.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We're committed to offering a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $255,600 to $449,600 for Washington-based roles, and $281,000 to $491,500 for California-based roles. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll have access to:
