Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer II to join our team of talented professionals in the Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area. As a DevOps Engineer II, you will play a critical role in defining, designing, developing, testing, certifying, and improving data pipelines and other key components of our cloud-based Data & Analytics environment. You will work in an agile, collective environment with other members of our Data Warehouse Technical Team, using your skills and expertise to develop innovative solutions and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new Data & Analytics products throughout the product lifecycle, using your technical expertise to drive innovation and excellence
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing, releasing, and troubleshooting throughout our development process, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet customer needs
  • Document processes and tools, and review current CI/CD configuration for best practices and latest standards, to ensure continuous improvement and optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet business objectives
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, using technologies such as Azure or AWS, and ensure scalability, security, and reliability
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as YAML, AWS, Azure, or GitHub, to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Use scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or AWS CLI to automate tasks and improve efficiency
  • Work with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker, to deploy and manage containerized applications
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Bicep, Terraform, or AZ CLI, to manage and provision cloud infrastructure

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, with typically 3-5 or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Azure or AWS, with hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure
  • CI/CD pipeline experience, with knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
  • Proficiency in either Azure or AWS, with experience in containerization and orchestration using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Bicep, Terraform, or AZ CLI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as YAML, AWS, Azure, or GitHub
  • Knowledge of M365/O365, with experience in Identity Architecture (SAML, OAuth, AzureAD, Okta, etc.)
  • Visio and diagramming skills, with experience in creating technical diagrams and documentation
  • Azure Government or AWS Government experience, with knowledge of cloud security and compliance
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Azure Monitor, or Checkmarx
