Job Summary

As a Data Analyst in the Streaming Information and Examination Association, you will be part of a team that applies analytical rigor to optimize our content portfolio, marketing, and delivery process. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze customer behavior, anticipate content engagement, and identify new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Data Analysis: Apply advanced analytical techniques, including data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning, to large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions.
  • Customer Behavior Analysis: Analyze customer behavior, including content preferences and viewing patterns, to identify unmet customer needs and new content opportunities.
  • Content Engagement Prediction: Anticipate content engagement to inform content acquisition and production decisions.
  • Content Launch and Release Strategy: Optimize our content launch and episode release strategy to maximize engagement and viewership.
  • Marketing Strategy Testing: Test marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention.
  • New Metrics and KPIs Development: Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both tactical and strategic decision-making.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis Support: Provide ad-hoc analysis support to stakeholders to help drive business outcomes.
  • Data Storytelling: Communicate insights and findings through compelling data storytelling across the organization.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Four-year bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Data Analysis Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data analysis.
  • SQL and Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with R or Python.
  • Statistical Analysis and Machine Learning: Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, including decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
  • Independent Work: Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems.
  • Data Storytelling: Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree: Graduate degree in Information Science, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Passion for Media and Entertainment: A passion for media and entertainment.
