Job Summary
As a Community Management Intern at Walgreens, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences, managing store operations, and supporting the company's mission. You will work closely with our store teams to ensure seamless execution of daily tasks, participate in training and development programs, and contribute to the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by engaging with customers, responding to their queries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and manage cash handling responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment, including stocking shelves, facing merchandise, and reporting maintenance issues.
- Participate in inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and reporting inventory discrepancies.
- Support the store manager and assistant store manager in evaluating and implementing visual merchandising displays and promotions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance store operations.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and meetings to develop knowledge and skills.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the store manager or assistant store manager.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, healthcare).
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university program.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail, customer service, or a related field.
- Knowledge of store operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
