Job Overview
As a Remote Inventory Management Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of pharmacy inventory across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as organizational policies and standards, including the Drug Supply Chain Security Act, to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Manage all aspects of pharmacy inventory, including storage, auditing, and monitoring of short-dated drugs across multiple locations, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain the organization of pharmacy areas and coordinate regular inventory counts to ensure seamless operations.
- Generate and analyze inventory-related reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established metrics, to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee third-party inventory management systems, liaising with vendors and troubleshooting technical issues as needed, to ensure system optimization.
- Facilitate training sessions for pharmacy staff on inventory policies, procedures, and technology to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Conduct training sessions on inventory processes and systems, including on-site visits to remote locations for hands-on support, to drive consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with the Materials Management team to address process gaps and resolve inventory-related issues, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach.
- Provide cross-coverage support for Materials Management areas and other pharmacy departments as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.
- Lead at least one special project annually to drive continuous improvement initiatives, showcasing your expertise and innovative thinking.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating your adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Massachusetts Registered Pharmacy Technician, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field.
- National Certification, highlighting your knowledge and skills in pharmacy technology.
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital experience, providing a solid foundation in pharmacy operations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, ensuring a strong educational background.
- At least 4 years of pharmacy technician experience, showcasing your expertise and familiarity with pharmacy practices.
