Job Overview

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from terminal design and construction to airline operations and airport planning. As an Airline Technical Representative, you will be responsible for evaluating and implementing solutions to operational impacts, coordinating with clients, tenants, designers, and construction teams, and developing project phasing to address operational issues. You will also be responsible for reviewing and developing program schedules, evaluating alternative or recovery options, and preparing status reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement solutions to operational impacts and coordinate resolution with clients, tenants, designers, and construction teams
  • Design review of conceptual and detailed design for airport terminal and airfield improvements, including terminals, concourses, apron areas, specialty systems, and other airport or airline facilities
  • Represent clients in progress meetings, coordinate design, address operational issues, and develop solutions
  • Maintain effective communication with peers, supervisors, and clients as necessary
  • Develop project phasing to address operational issues and review and develop program schedules
  • Evaluate or develop alternative or recovery options and prepare status reports, presentations, and materials explaining operational impacts or general project information to clients and others
  • Communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience both verbally and in writing
  • Monitor construction status and coordinate with representatives of the construction team on project status and construction issues
  • Perform specialized tasks as required, with minimal supervision and within acceptable time frames, and at the highest quality level

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in aviation capital project development and implementation, as well as experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or Program in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering or Management, Aviation Management, or a closely related discipline is required. You should also have at least 5-10 years of experience in terminal design and construction, airline operations, airport design, planning, and operations, with terminal or larger building construction/implementation experience being a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD and graphics software
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance, which requires a 10-year criminal background check
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong knowledge of construction needs and airline operations, with the ability to evaluate potential operational impacts
  • Ability to identify potential cost and saving opportunities
  • Above-average communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to prepare detailed written comments and presentations
