Job Description

As a Product Security Engineer at Apple, you'll be responsible for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in our products. You'll work closely with our security team to analyze and respond to security issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to develop secure coding practices and mitigate emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze security vulnerabilities in Apple's products, including iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS
  • Develop and implement secure coding practices and guidelines for engineering teams
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to mitigate security vulnerabilities and emerging threats
  • Conduct threat modeling and risk analysis to identify potential security risks
  • Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate security testing and vulnerability detection
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering teams on security best practices and threat mitigation
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and threats, and apply that knowledge to improve Apple's security posture

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities in complex systems
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or Objective-C
  • Knowledge of modern processor architecture and secure coding best practices
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python
  • Familiarity with macOS or other UNIX-based systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence others outside of your team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security testing and vulnerability detection tools
  • Knowledge of threat modeling and risk analysis methodologies
