Client Experience and Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for modeling and conveying a unique and magnificent client experience. Your primary focus will be on engaging clients and patients by greeting them, offering help with products and services, and resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive client experience. You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing clients with respectful, fair, agreeable, and productive checkout administration
  • Registers client purchases on appointed sales register, collects cash, and circulates change as mentioned
  • Processing voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as necessary
  • Keeping counters and retires clean and well-marketed, taking stock, and maintaining records
  • Checking in and pricing stock as required or as directed by the head manager or shift leader

Key Responsibilities and Activities

In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including:

  • Giving clients respectful, agreeable, quick, and productive help
  • Recommending items available for purchase to clients and suggesting exchange up as well as companion items
  • Carrying out Organization resource protection methods to identify and minimize benefit loss
  • Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled items (e.g., liquor and tobacco products)
  • Developing and maintaining displays, including special, seasonal, super designs, and sale stock
  • Completing resets and updates as directed
  • Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw food from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by policies/procedures

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Must be conversant in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Preferred qualifications include:

  • At least six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Previous work experience with Walgreens
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Skills and Competencies Required for Success

To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. You will also need to be:

  • Proficient in using store systems and equipment
  • Able to provide client assistance in the photo area, including digital identification photo service, banner print, and creative machine
  • Knowledgeable about store policies and procedures
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
