Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other pharmacy-related tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer experiences, engaging with patients and customers, resolving issues, and answering inquiries.
- Develop strong relationships with valuable customers, modeling and sharing customer service best practices with team members.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy.
- Report prescription errors to pharmacists on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs.
- Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs.
- May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including collecting and labeling blood/urine samples, and coordinating clinical services.
Essential Qualifications
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens.
- PC certification or eligibility for certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Personal Development
