Job Summary: Data Entry Clerk - Remote Quality Registry Specialist

We're seeking a dedicated and capable Data Entry Clerk to support our Quality Registry Manager, Data Entry Coordinators, and Data Entry Clerk L2 in gathering patient-reported outcomes while maintaining a technically accurate quality improvement database. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data collection processes, and you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our quality team, principal investigators, residents, and clinical research team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients enrolled in quality registries by phone for the purpose of clinical improvement and research, ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
  • Database maintenance:
    • Input and maintain accurate clinical databases.
    • Assist in using technology to facilitate and improve the accuracy of data collection.
    • Monitor data quality within databases and provide immediate feedback to the department supervisor.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in all activities associated with quality improvement, data collection, and data validation.
  • Ensure that work is completed in a timely manner, in compliance with departmental policies and procedures, including patient privacy protection policies under HIPAA.
  • Interact and work collaboratively with the quality team, principal investigators, residents, and clinical research team to achieve shared goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of previous experience in a healthcare setting with database entry and data management preferred.
  • Coursework in science, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
