Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and timely handling of baggage, mail, and freight to and from aircraft, as well as being responsible for timely connections by directing incoming and outgoing aircraft from gate positions.
  • Protect freight, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Safely operate and drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow farm haulers in congested areas.
  • Use baggage scanners and computers to ensure that items are directed accurately to the customer's destination.
  • Work a varied schedule, including early morning, late night, and weekend shifts, with hours ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, depending on the position.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • The ability to wear required organization-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to: hearing protection, safety toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety attire subject to a supported convenience, such as alternate PPE.
  • A commitment to prioritizing the safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • An ability to embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or logistics role.
  • Familiarity with ground handling equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
