As a Software Engineering Intern, you'll be part of a team that's designing and building the infrastructure that will power Disney's media, advertising, and distribution businesses for years to come.
Our team is responsible for developing and executing groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms and enhance how audiences experience sports, entertainment, and news. We're looking for talented students to join our team for a paid 12-week summer internship program, where you'll have the opportunity to apply your technical skills to real-world projects and make a significant impact on some of the most successful brands in the media and entertainment business.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in challenging projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Work alongside other talented technologists who share your passion for technology
- Partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to design, build, and maintain data structures to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators
- Contribute to the development of innovative products and techniques that shape industry norms
- Collaborate with agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Essential Qualifications & Skills
To be considered for this internship, you should have:
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C++
- Understanding or experience with Linux
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Node, and React
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of Agile development practices
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
You're also expected to:
- Be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology, or a related major
- Be in your junior or senior year of study
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Be available to work 40 hours per week for the entire 12-week program duration
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, having experience with:
- Cloud-based technologies
- Machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Data analytics and visualization
- Cybersecurity
can be beneficial in this role.

Compensation & Benefits

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
To be eligible for this internship, you must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree
- Be taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
- Be returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship
- Be available to work from May/June to August/September 2025 (12 weeks)
- Be able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in Morrisville, NC
- Be able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
