Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to the enterprise, focusing on multiple areas and driving technical strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems and identify new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute technical software development strategy for a variety of domains, ensuring high-quality, usable, and performant solutions.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, strengthening their technical expertise and know-how.
  • Influence and educate leadership at all levels, sharing best practices and improving processes within and across teams.
  • Analyze cost and forecast, incorporating them into business plans and determining resource requirements.
  • Lead initial projects, including migrating legacy Claims applications to Azure, modernizing Claims applications to be domain-driven with micro-services and micro-frontends, and driving fully automated testing and deployments.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluency and specialization with at least two modern languages, such as Java, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • Experience building products with micro-services architecture and extensible REST APIs.
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
  • Fluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Cloud DevOps Operational Framework (Azure or AWS preferred).
  • Experience with application monitoring tools, observability, and performance assessments.
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience within an object-oriented framework.
  • 10+ years of experience with architecture and design.
  • 6+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern micro-front-end design using the latest JavaScript frameworks, such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with CICD deployments and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with open-source frameworks.
  • Track record of publications in credible conferences and journals.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $120,000 - $300,500 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Some of the other benefits and perks you can expect include:
