About the Role: Shaping the Future of Disney's Attractions

As a Key Information Researcher in our Attractions Functional Innovation team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge data analysis and machine learning (ML) models that power our attractions and create enchanting experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities: Driving Innovation and Excellence

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the creation, implementation, and support of data analysis and ML models that power our attractions and guest experiences.
• Foster strong relationships with colleagues, providing thought leadership and driving initiatives to successful completion.
• Engage in research and development, identifying areas where business problems can be creatively solved through the application of ML and data analysis.
• Lead and work with various specialists and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy scalable ML solutions that create magical experiences for our guests.
• Drive innovation, proof-of-concepts, and technology investments that advance our AI platforms and capabilities.
• Manage the functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by the team.
• Develop standardized processes and collaborate with specialized units to plan, design, and execute large-scale projects in the AI space.
• Productionize ML algorithms and evaluate their performance on real-world datasets.
• Coordinate with various teams to achieve goals in improving system performance, adhering to software development best practices.

Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Expertise We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• 2+ years of mastery in Python and predictive modeling experiences, such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, etc.
• 2+ years of expert-level experience in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in SDLC, QA cycles, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns.
• Master-level experience in structured and unstructured data (e.g., images, video, text) and SQL relational and non-relational databases.
• 2+ years of experience with Workflow or another data workflow management instrument.
• Experience with version control software, such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong systems integration architecture skills, capable of translating new tech into business solutions.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications: The Nice-to-Haves

While not required, having experience in the following areas can give you a competitive edge:

• Docker, control systems, and Kubernetes.
• Cloud solutions in GCP or another cloud platform.
• Atlassian Tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development.
• Data visualization and data monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau).
• Audio and text analysis.
• A Ph.D. in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
