Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Storage Administrator to manage and maintain our data storage infrastructure, including NAS, SAN, and DAS environments. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise data storage operations and engineering, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. As an Enterprise Data Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of our data storage systems, and providing technical expertise to the IT team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise data storage infrastructure, including NAS, SAN, and DAS environments
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies
- Monitor and report on storage system performance, capacity, and utilization
- Define and implement storage architecture strategies, based on industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application, database, server, and other technology groups
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex storage-related tasks, including installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations
- Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the security of storage systems
- Contribute to the development of clear and concise documentation for storage-related tasks and procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (a combination of education, work experience, and training may be considered)
- 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field, with a focus on storage networking and protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- Strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system and network administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and administration
