Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Math Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. As a Math Teacher in our district, you will be responsible for creating a flexible program and a class environment that is favorable to learning and personal growth. You will establish effective rapport with pupils, motivate them to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational background, and establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Deliver Instruction: Develop a program of study that is appropriate to the maturity and interest of students and meets their individual needs and abilities.
- Create a Positive Classroom Environment: Establish a positive classroom environment that upholds and enforces school rules and is conducive to learning.
- Guide the Learning Process: Guide the learning process to increase student achievement in accordance with the curriculum and consistent with state and local standards.
- Assess Student Progress: Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required in a timely and confidential manner.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with colleagues, students, and/or parents on an ongoing basis concerning student academic and behavioral progress.
- Adhere to Policies and Regulations: Adhere to the Board of Education policies, state rules and regulations, and to licensure standards.
- Maintain Professional Competence: Strive to maintain and improve professional competence and serve on staff committees as required.
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess a valid Colorado Teaching Certificate endorsed or Highly Qualified in the area of assignment. Alternatively, the Board may find other qualifications appropriate. You must also have a strong passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Teaching Mathematics: Prior experience in teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Curriculum and Standards: Familiarity with state and local curriculum standards and the ability to develop lesson plans that meet these standards.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to Adapt to Change: Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
