Job Overview: Media Circulation Program Manager
The Media Circulation Program Manager position at UC Blue Ash College is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Media Communications & Technology department. As the Media Circulation Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, circulating, and providing tutorial instruction for a wide range of media production equipment, including audio recording equipment, still photography and video recording equipment, and image and sound editing equipment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in expanding and enhancing the technology available to Media Communications & Technology students, enabling them to engage in innovative media production projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of existing equipment and resources, as well as the deployment of new circulating resources and the removal of resources from circulation.
- Train, maintain, assess, and improve student staff proficiency on MCT systems management (reservation, check out, inventory) and maintain internal/external systems documenting MCT procedures.
- Recruit, train, and supervise student staff; create, implement, and assess MCT circulation policies and procedures.
- Maintain the full range of media equipment and serve as a tutor for students in the use of the equipment.
- Collaborate with the Department Chair, faculty, and other staff to maximize the quality of the experience of MCT students using the department's circulating resources.
- Use the department's asset tracking software (EZOffice Inventory) to perform periodic inventories, compile statistics, and prepare reports.
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring equipment usage data for program needs in collaboration with other department faculty and staff.
- Interact and serve as a liaison for the Department with College and University offices, students, and external partners.
- Assist the department with scheduling needs and general office requests to ensure that all departmental circulation needs are met in a timely manner.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree or have seven years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training. Additionally, you should have at least three years of relevant experience, with recent supervisory experience, particularly with student employees, being highly desirable. Experience with media production, particularly in graphics, audio, and video disciplines, is also preferred, as is a strong commitment to innovative and responsive services. Familiarity with operational management, demonstrated work experience serving a diverse user population, and working knowledge of EZOffice Inventory (asset tracking software) are also valuable assets.

The University of Cincinnati offers a competitive salary range of $47,000 - $50,000, dependent on the candidate's experience.
