Job Summary
As a Lead Generation Specialist, you will play a critical role in building a robust pipeline of qualified leads to meet and exceed business plans, sales quotas, and overall company objectives. You will be responsible for researching potential clients, identifying decision-makers, and cultivating relationships to drive sales growth. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct In-Depth Research: Research colleges, high schools, and for-profit entities to identify potential clients who could benefit from our distance learning solutions. This includes analyzing institutions' online needs, trends, and key decision-makers to pinpoint the right prospects.
- Lead Qualification and Management: Enter and maintain all qualified leads into Salesforce, following protocols to initiate sales outreach by the Business Development Manager team. Prioritize leads with clear potential to move through the sales funnel.
- Cold Calling and Outreach: Actively engage in cold calling to identify potential clients and decision-makers. Leverage social media platforms like LinkedIn to identify decision-makers in relevant industries.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Coordination and Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule course design calls between prospective customers and their assigned Business Development Manager.
- Collaboration and Analysis: Collaborate with the Senior Distance Learning Sales Manager and Business Development Manager team to identify key areas for research. Analyze data and make data-driven decisions to optimize lead generation strategies.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Administrative Duties: Perform other administrative duties as required, including data entry, reporting, and other tasks to support the sales team.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Experience in lead generation and sales, preferably in the education or a related sector.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with potential clients and decision-makers.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using lead generation tools and CRM software, such as Salesforce.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to optimize lead generation strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Experience working in the education sector, particularly in distance learning higher education.
- Sales Experience: Experience in sales, preferably in a B2B or B2C setting.
- Social Media Skills: Experience leveraging social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, for lead generation and outreach.
