About the Role
As an Experienced Client-Facing Accountant, you’ll manage a portfolio of well-organized clients, working closely with Controllers and bookkeeping support. This role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of public accounting or outsourced, client-facing experience, a strong grasp of GAAP, and a desire to grow into a leadership role.
You’ll help us build stronger systems, deliver clean financials, and give our clients the clarity they need to run their businesses confidently.
What You’ll Do
• Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients
• Review monthly closes, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financials
• Manage A/P, A/R, billing, and general ledger entries
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Communicate directly with clients to answer questions and provide insight
• Recommend process improvements and contribute to internal SOPs
• Collaborate with a remote team of accounting professionals

Must-Have Qualifications
• 4-year degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting or outsourced, client-facing experience
• Progressive accounting experience across multiple industries
• Strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail
• Confidence speaking directly with clients
• Based in EST or CST time zones
• Tech-savvy, organized, and systems-oriented
Bonus Points For:
• Experience with ecommerce or inventory-based businesses
• Experience working with offshore teams
• QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, ClickUp, or Hubstaff
Compensation & Structure
• Pay: $70,000–$90,000/year
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
• Location: Remote
• Structure: 1099 contract for the first 12 months, with option to convert to W2 based on performance
