Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor in Radiological Sciences to serve as the Clinical Coordinator for our Associate Degree Program. This is a multi-year appointment, with a duration of 2 years and the option for renewal. The successful candidate will be expected to commence on December 2023 or as negotiated.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of courses, including Patient Care, Medical Terminology, Radiation Biology and Protection, Radiographic Pathology, and Registry Review
- Oversee all clinical activities of students, including travel to clinical sites for conferences and evaluations
- Serve as the program liaison to clinical sites, ensuring effective partnerships and placements
- Participate in program meetings, contribute to assessment and accreditation processes, and collaborate with faculty to drive program effectiveness
- Advise students, participate in committees, and engage in service and scholarly activities
- Maintain currency in the discipline through research, scholarship, and/or quality improvement initiatives
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a master's degree or doctorate in a relevant field
- Possess a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography
- Have at least two years of clinical experience in radiological sciences
- Demonstrate proficiency in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, and evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with instructional technology and hybrid/online teaching
- A commitment to active and collaborative learning
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
- A record of scholarly activity and research in radiological sciences
