Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for instructing students on established curriculum, ensuring each individual receives the knowledge, proficiencies, and experiences necessary to thrive. The approximate dates of the assignment are 02/21/23-03/20/23. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and instructing students on District and state standards aligned curriculum, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our student body.
  • Developing comprehensive lesson plans and goals that meet District expectations, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student engagement.
  • Enriching or modifying lessons, curriculum, materials, and resources as needed to meet individual student's needs and varying levels of progress, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Conducting formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress, administering standardized assessments as directed, and interpreting student assessment data to inform instructional methods and monitor student progress.
  • Reviewing student progress via assessments, maintaining records of student work, and developing intervention strategies to ensure student success and growth, in collaboration with support teachers and specialists.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and students on progress, providing regular updates and feedback to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Meeting regularly with other grade level or departmental teachers and support teachers to plan instruction across classrooms and incorporate lessons across subjects, fostering a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to education.
  • Assigning work, instructions, or lessons to student teachers and/or volunteers, assessing work, modifying, and providing regular feedback to ensure the development of future educators.
  • Actively participating on various building and District teams or committees, providing feedback, and acting as a liaison to other building staff to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications
