About the Earle Love Child Study Center

The Earle Love Child Study Center is a state-of-the-art facility that provides high-quality child care services to toddlers and pre-school children. Our center is open year-round from 7:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., and we are seeking a Part-Time Child Care Technician to join our team. As a Part-Time Child Care Technician, you will work under the supervision of the facility Director and be responsible for providing direct care for toddlers and pre-school children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care for toddlers and pre-school children in the day care facility, such as feeding, clothing, and aiding with personal hygiene
  • Directing recreational activities engaged in by toddler and pre-school children
  • Cleaning day care areas used in caring for toddlers and pre-school children
  • Assisting day care teachers with classroom instructional activities
  • Maintaining records concerning daily activities and personal progress of toddlers and pre-school children
  • Maintaining a CPR certification
  • Performing related responsibilities as required or assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma and be willing and able to become CPR Certified. Prior work experience in child care is preferred, as well as knowledge of AR minimum licensing for Child Care Centers, Better Beginnings requirements, and ITERS/ECERS guidelines.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of teaching techniques and development of lesson plans
  • Knowledge of Arkansas Minimum Licensing Requirement for Child Care Centers, Better Beginnings Requirements, and ITERS/ECERS guidelines
  • Able to maintain records and develop lesson plans
  • Skilled and certified in CPR
  • Able to work independently and cooperatively with a team to achieve the mission/goal
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Able to work effectively and cooperatively with people of various cultural backgrounds
  • Able to read and understand directions and warning labels printed in English
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 30lbs
  • Able to move about the building freely while holding up to 30lbs
