In this critical role, you'll be the intermediary between potential clients and blithequark, ensuring that qualified applicants receive loans in a timely manner while maintaining our organization's credibility.

About the Role

This is a fully remote position, with the initial one-week training period conducted in a structured environment from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. After training, you'll work the 3rd shift, from 11pm to 7am, as part of our overnight customer service team. As a Remote Overnight Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties, including loan processing, customer support, and ensuring compliance with our policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Make outbound and receive inbound calls, providing timely and effective support to customers and potential clients.
  • Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Utilize basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions regarding loan applications and customer inquiries.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with customers, listening to and understanding their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, showing sensitivity, tact, and empathy when interacting with customers, even in challenging situations.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, adhering to blithequark's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process card payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring seamless transactions.
  • Perform initial approvals of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems.
  • Review applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loans, making informed decisions that balance customer needs with risk management.
  • Follow up with customers to clarify important points, finalize loan details, and ensure they are informed about rules and obligations.
  • Stay up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services, continually updating your knowledge to provide the best possible support.
  • Create and renew records, maintaining accurate and comprehensive customer information.
  • Identify customer needs, exploring all available options to provide tailored solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and company needs.
  • Multitask with ease, speaking with customers while typing notes simultaneously, and managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Meet monthly individual goals as set by management, demonstrating a commitment to achieving targets and driving results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in basic business math and computer skills.
  • Technical skills, including proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet, as well as cloud-based storage solutions.

Preferred Education and Experience

While not mandatory, previous experience in customer service, loan processing, or a related field is highly desirable. If you have a background in financial services or a related industry, you'll be well-positioned to excel in this role.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

As a remote worker, you'll need to be able to:

  • Sit for long periods, talking and listening constantly, with a dedicated workspace that minimizes distractions.
  • Work the 3rd shift, from 11pm to 7am, as part of our overnight customer service team.
