As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying and revivifying benefits, translating and entering prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners via phone, ensuring timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while providing compassionate, genuine care to patients and customers.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
  • Strong computer keyboarding skills and aptitude.
  • A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.

Work Environment

This is a work-from-home opportunity, allowing you to work comfortably from your own space while still being connected to our team. You'll need to reside in New Jersey and be within 75 miles of our Specialty location in Fairfield, NJ.

Compensation

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $29.88 per hour, depending on your experience, education, and other relevant factors.
