Position Overview The Estimator is primarily responsible for managing Global Power Supply’s sub-contractor network, including but not limited to developing and building relationships with contractors in key regions across the country, as well as working with those contractors, coordinating site visits, and producing quotations for installations of power supply systems. You will field opportunities from Sales, formulate a project team, and work with that team to produce quotes in a timely manner, that are complete and per the customer’s specifications and expectations. You will be an out of the box thinker that can introduce new equipment, process, and service to benefit a project and/or a customer. This is a mix estimator/project management role, as there will be instances where you will manage projects from inception to completion, quoting through installation, startup and commissioning. You will serve as an expert for both customer and sub-contractor, in the equipment Global Power Supply provides and the installation of such equipment. Key Responsibilities • Build and Manage a nationwide contractor network, onboarding contractors to partner with in key locations across the country, determining their capabilities and competencies, and forming real partnerships with those subcontractors, while maintaining all information in a contractor database. • Perform front end Sales assistance in proposal preparation, bids, and contract negotiation for opportunities involving the installation of power supply equipment, generators, UPS, BESS, etc. • Review with engineering, all project materials to determine all relative materials and labor needed to fulfill a project’s full scope of work, and seek and lock in those resources for a given project. • Manage, review and revise, all bids from vendors and contractors • Present all prepared estimates to key internal stakeholders • Analyze estimated cost vs actual cost and maintain detailed records • Work with all internal departments to find ways to improve process and efficiency in bidding installation opportunities Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • PMP Certification preferred. • Training in power systems a plus. • Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) • Experience working with ERM and CRM software as an organizational, tracking and planning tool • Must have a technical aptitude and eagerness to learn • Contract Negotiation • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written. • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills • Extraordinarily high sense of urgency and able to manage changing priorities • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines and changing priorities. • Resourceful and able to find innovative ways to achieve results • Have strong relationship and team building skills, externally and internally. • Strong business acumen • Self-driven, positive and energic work ethic • Unquestionable ethics and integrity • Power generation or heavy machinery • Diesel and natural gas engines/generators • UPS, energy storage and renewable energy • Controls and Control Systems • Fabrication of Custom Enclosures, Fuel Tanks, Engineered Products • Local, State and national electric codes • Local, State and national emission regulations • 5+ years estimating and/or project management and logistics • 25% travel • Valid Driver’s License Benefits: • Competitive base salary with a performance-based bonus structure. • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance. • Matching 401(K) retirement plan. • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement. • Companywide, performance-based alternating Fridays off program. • *We will only contact you from a globalpwr.com email domain, any other email addresses are not generated by our company** Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
