Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Technician with PBNA, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Using cutting-edge technology and programs, including PM utilizing voice application, Noregon diagnostics, Mitchell 1, Take-up predictive analysis, TAAS, and more.
  • Utilizing and developing your skills handling Pepsi's diverse fleet equipment, including cars, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts.
  • Diagnosing failures of vehicles and dismantling, repairing, and reassembling parts as needed.
  • Maintaining documentation and records, such as vehicle records and pre-trip agendas.
  • Completing oil and filter changes.
  • Answering service calls.
  • Being part of the team that maintains one of the largest fleets in North America.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Fleet Technician with PBNA, you will need:

  • Physical demands of the job, including lifting, squeezing, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling and controlling items (regardless of convenience).
  • CDL permit with Non-Excepted Highway Status (if applicable).
  • Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills assessment (if applicable).
  • Past experience or training including gas or diesel repair.
  • Past experience or training including hydraulic and compressed air brake systems.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experience and skills are highly valued:

  • Past experience or training including internal combustion engines.
  • Past experience or training including Preventive Maintenance.
  • Fixing forklifts (e.g., fixing propane fuel/electrical/battery systems, hydraulic systems, bed jacks, etc.).
  • Working with computers (e.g., I-pad, using PCs, hand-held PCs, PCs, diagnostics with Noregon/Autometer, etc.).
  • Working with manufacturing guidelines (e.g., use of Mitchell 1, use of OEM Support tools, knowing current standards, keeping up-to-date with the latest technology, having experience working with gadgets, etc.).
  • Driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL (e.g., road testing trucks, driving trucks throughout the mechanics shop, etc.).
  • Fixing heavy-duty equipment (e.g., working on class 8, 7, 6, and medium-duty trucks, brakes, tires, engines, liftgates, thermo king warmer and refer units, etc.).
  • Fixing light trucks (e.g., EV trucks, gas-diesel trucks, vans, support vehicles, etc.).
