About the Marketing Team and Your Role
The AllTrails marketing team is responsible for building a global, beloved outdoors brand. We achieve this by launching and scaling creative and performance-driven marketing initiatives to attract new users to the platform and engage existing members. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the 365 marketing offense for the full marketing team. Your primary focus will be on leading go-to-market campaigns for new features that enhance the user experience and integrated campaigns that inspire people to spend more time outside. Collaborating closely with Product, Product Design, Marketing Channel Leads, and Brand Design teams, you will develop and execute projects across the AllTrails organization, ensuring that all consumer-facing work adheres to the high standards of the AllTrails brand.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Seasonal Marketing Roadmap: Develop and drive the seasonal marketing roadmap, outlining seasonal themes, consumer moments, product launches, key channel initiatives, and leading select campaigns through execution.
- Cross-Functional Campaigns: Lead integrated marketing campaigns that bring new features to market and tell the AllTrails story, devising the strategy, writing the brief, and guiding the creative process.
- Campaign Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on campaign performance, identifying key metrics, setting up measurement approaches, and reporting on performance versus goals to identify areas for improvement.
- Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop innovative go-to-market strategies by leveraging consumer, competitive, and internal insights to inform positioning, messaging, and channel strategy, partnering with channel leaders to build innovative GTM strategies.
- Brand Adherence: Ensure all consumer-facing work meets the high standards of the AllTrails brand, acting as a brand ambassador and guardian.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and rapid problem-solving skills, diving into new projects and challenges as they arise, with a self-directed and adaptable approach.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed as a Product Marketing Manager at AllTrails, you should possess:
- 5+ Years of Experience: In consumer product marketing, integrated marketing, and/or brand marketing, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to pull insights directly from internal dashboards (e.g., Looker) and analyze data to inform marketing strategies.
- Insatiable Curiosity: Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, competitors, and relevant analogs, with an eye for innovation and creativity.
- Collaboration and Empathy: Strong collaborator with empathy, open-mindedness, and humility, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
