Join Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy Team as a Customer Service Representative
We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, working from the comfort of your home in Texas. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be the vital link between our patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, ensuring that life-sustaining specialty drug therapies are delivered efficiently and with care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits to ensure seamless delivery.
- Interact with patients, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system with precision.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve accounts receivable or clinical issues, ensuring timely fulfillment of specialty medications.
- Collect copay amounts and obtain necessary authorizations, working closely with patients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate compassionate and genuine care for patients and customers, providing support and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
Essential Qualifications
- One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications, with at least one year of work experience.
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, showcasing your skills and aptitude in data entry and management.
- A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent, marking the foundation of your educational background.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare work experience, familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology, which can enhance your understanding and performance in this role.
