About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Analyst (Software License) to join our remote IT operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing software license compliance, tracking usage, optimizing costs, and ensuring that all licensing agreements align with organizational policies. This position is perfect for individuals who have a strong IT background with a focus on software asset management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the tracking, allocation, and renewal of software licenses across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate records of all software assets within license management tools.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor agreements, legal requirements, and internal policies.
  • Monitor license usage to identify underutilized or unused licenses and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, IT, and security teams to streamline licensing processes.
  • Provide reports and analysis on license usage, costs, and compliance risks.
  • Assist in vendor management and contract negotiations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, software licensing, or related IT analyst roles.
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, subscription, perpetual, enterprise agreements).
  • Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Software Asset Management (SAM) tools.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Work Environment

  • 100% remote position (flexible time zones may apply).
  • Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday.
